Surprise Snow
When I woke up this morning and looked out my window, this is what I saw....

And then there was the traffic jam on South Boulder Road....

But, I also got this gem of a photo on Cherryvale Road...

However, my favorite is this photo of the Canadian Geese coming in for a landing...

BTW...I was not driving and taking photos. I had a chauffeur this morning. So, thank you to the lovely Karey Fishburn and her 4 wheel drive. I made it to work safely--and even on time. Heck yeah!!

it's been one of those mornings; which unfortunately, turned into one of those afternoons.
i have high hopes for the evening though. :)

what a crazy day/night in boulder
first we have winds that were literally knocking people over, tearing down structures, power lines and anything else that dared to be out in the crazy boulder wind today. i myself was trying to hold on and had to take shelter a few times while i was trying to walk through pearl street during lunch. you could literally feel homes and businesses tremble as the wind was ruthlessly beating through boulder without apology or concern for those caught up in it.
when i was on pearl street i saw a metal "yield" sign come unhinged from the pole it was fastened on and fly across the street and nearly take some one out. it missed their head by mere inches. if that would have hit that poor person...oh my, i don't even want to think about it!! sheesh.
then you have the fire that happens after power lines go down...

they've been fighting the fires since early afternoon and are still out trying to put it out, or at least keep it contained. all the while, the wind is still hammering down the mountain.
you can read more about it, here!
