my ever changing mood

the weather in Colorado in the last 24 hours has been symbolic of my last few days, no scratch that, weeks!!

bright and sunny
warmth
fresh air
a little grey
more grey
some rain
rain and snow mix
some darker skies with harder rain that turns into snow
full out snow storm with no visibility
trees breaking from weight of snow on branches
brilliant white covered everywhere
sun peaking from behind the clouds
sun shinning
snow melts
warmth coming back
full blown sun
rinse and repeat

and on a side note: i haven't had caffeine in 3 days, so my head fills like its going to explode. or i might hurt someone. to caffeine, or not to caffiene? that is the question.

the Creative Experience: Project 3

Project 3: An Ode to Grey

For our next project prompt we are going to give a lot of room for interpretation and just begin with a color: grey.

We chose this color because we are entering into what is arguably the only rainy season in Colorado and one of the most welcome periods of grey skies, knowing they usher in the spring. Also, we are in anticipation mode for the birth of @lizjoylewis’s second child, Greyson, or baby Grey.

Show us your ode to grey in any format you like. Paint it, photograph it, sing it, write it, film it.

For project 3 I took a photo I have already used and played with photo editing. Other than brightening a photo, I've never tweaked them before, so I took time to make it look as grey as I could.

"Grey Skies"

I have another project that I'm working on for our "Ode to Grey" theme. Once it's finished, I'll post it. Oh and if you're wondering what happened to project 2....well, it's still being worked on. Ha!!

If you'd like to see the other projects being done by my creative friends, go to our blog, here!

Somehow I have found myself at the RV and boat show. I think I need this monster truck with the truck bed camper. Ha!

I do believe I'm ready for camping season.

Strawberry Basil Jam

I woke up this morning with a desire to make jam. Probably because I've been craving the strawberry basil jam I would have every morning when visiting the Seevinck's. It's just so yummy and sometimes, I just want it. And as of late, I've been wanting it. Now I have never made jam before, nor do I know how. But, I figure, why not? I'll either be fantastic or suck it up big time. But, I might as well try, right?

Right!

I'm not sure when this adventure will take place, but hopefully sometime in the next few weeks. I'm sure you'll know when I do. First things first, I should probably find a recipe and get the needed supplies. I'm sure that would be helpful.

Becca, any advice would be much appreciated.

Okay everyone, keep your fingers crossed and wish me luck!!
